Ergon | Strategic Direction

Intro

Ergon serves as the central hub for employment in the Eindhoven region, providing opportunities for individuals of all levels of experience and expertise. Whether full-time or part-time, temporarily or permanently placed, experienced or new to the workforce, Ergon strives to support its clients by providing meaningful employment opportunities. Whether an individual has spent a decade in unemployment or has only sixty percent of the necessary skillset, Ergon recognizes the value of work as a foundational aspect of personal development, self-reliance, and future prospects. This philosophy has been outlined in a strategic roadmap, which was then transformed into a visual aid by Visuele Verbinders to ensure a clear and concise message.

From strategy to illustration

Can we turn a 40-page strategic document into a visual aid? Sure thing. Let's start with a good conversation. Because the vision behind the document is crucial to grasp the "spirit of the course" with the right words and examples. And what a lovely term, central desk, but what does that mean, and what does it look like? That's how we got started and went through the piece and its contents.

Result? This first concept sketch.

Simple appearance

Where we often (desired) use a lot of color, it was more appropriate to use a sober palette here. We do use color to make the parts stand out more on the screen/paper, but not to attract (unnecessary) attention.

Slide to work

As the central desk for work in the Eindhoven region, Ergon is good at three things: we ensure that people are (re)ready for the labor market. In addition, they help people find suitable work. And once people are working, they guide them on a substantive and social level. So they help people to, into, and in work. Or, in short: Ergon helps people find work.

Ergon coaches people in finding and maintaining a paid job. Ergon connects knowledge and especially people with each other. Together with our partners, they help people too, into, and in work. Ergon does this according to the core values: connecting, entrepreneurial, and inspiring.

From Ergon's strong network, they can develop and place many people. In this way, they can make work possible for everyone. An essential part next to the central desk where the core values are reflected is the slide to work. What started as a "figure of speech" description became a powerful metaphor, where development has a clear place to bring someone to the right height, after which they can slide more independently to the final destination.
